Cheer Haran Statue in National Museum

Another interesting Artifact that caught my attention in National Museum, New Delhi.. Made of Wood, crafted in Kerala, it is a huge column like structure titled as “Cheer Haran” Stealing of Robes… In the Center Piece, the statue of Lord Krishna is evident, playing on flute in his typical cross legged style.. however, the presence of lady statues at his feet and pedestal, apparently devoid of garments, was symbolic of stealing of robes..but I find it quite different from the Mahabharat episode of Draupadi Cheer Haran.. Is it related to the same or is it the playful leela enacted by Krishna on Yamuna Banks.. couldn’t decide..
